	Description of the illustration The publishing house Battiato from Catania was specialised in monographs on agriculture, zootechny and similar issues. This book in particular is the 91st volume of the collection "Biblioteca d'Agricoltura e Industrie Affini" (Agriculture Library and Similar Matters). It contains descriptions of the main cattle breeds, divided region by region. Very interesting are the maps illustating the distribution of the various breeds in Italy.
